Client Overview

Established in 2001, ActivTrades is a prize-winning global firm and an innovator in online trading. Headquartered in central London with offices in Luxembourg, Milan, Nassau, and Sofia, the firm specialises in Forex and is always looking at expanding its range of products.

Challenges Faced

The award-winning £20.6 million brokerage company was experiencing high staff turnover because it found that former recruitment partners failed to understand its business’s culture accurately. So, the HR Manager then instructed Market Talent to lead the search on both contingent and growth based roles.


In 2016, ActivTrades asked us to work on an exclusive retained basis to recruit for varying positions on a temporary and permanent basis to both stabilise and grow the company.

As per our company ethos, we took an honest, open approach so that the shortlisted candidates understood ActivTrade’s culture thoroughly and would be highly rewarded with a company bonus at the end of the year.

Market Talent agreed to spend a certain number of weeks headhunting, advertising, filtering CVs, monitoring the market, networking, and meeting potential candidates. We then presented a shortlist of candidates to the MD and ActivTrades, and most candidates  were selected for interviews. During this project we managed a total of on boarding 12 hires (junior through to senior manager grade).

Key Achievements 

We mapped the market through a blend of headhunting, networking, and advertising, and generated a shortlist of suitable candidates. The client was impressed with our clear understanding of its business, proficiency, guidance, and support in securing the appropriate candidate.

We began by taking a detailed brief on the roles to support the job description. ActivTrades was pleased with the quality of the candidates we identified. Several of the roles we were asked to assist with were specific to the firm’s sector and necessitated candidates with particular expertise and industry exposure. We continue to serve Activtrades to this day.
