Prestigious banking organisation is seeking experienced Private Banker to join their Relationship Management team to enhance and develop business relationships between the Bank and its High Net Worth, UHNW, and VIP customers marketing the Bank’s services and products. Fluency in Arabic and thorough understanding of Middle East culture and mentality is mandatory.

  • Market all the Bank’s products and services to existing and potential customers in the Arab world.
  • Enhance and develop business relationships between the Bank and its High Net Worth and VIP customers.
  • Maintaining and expanding the Private Banking customer base of the Bank.
  • Participate in the structuring of new investment products that will benefit customers and enhance the profitability of the Private Banking Department and the Bank.
  • Explore new residential investment opportunities in the UK real estate market, to be offered to customers.
  • Gather information and data on competitors’ Products and Services and to appraise and interpret its significance and make appropriate recommendations to the Head of Private Banking
  • To periodically or, as deemed necessary, communicate to customers all pertinent information on the status of their funds, market conditions, trends and opportunities.  Also to ensure that customer requests for information, advice and action are promptly met.
  • To explore Real Estate investment opportunities in the market presented by the Bank’s lending criteria, and to market these opportunities to selective and suitable clients for the purpose of financing the transaction and other revenue opportunities.
  • To explain and market all the services of the Bank to the customers and potential customers.
  • To update and review customer files annually in accordance to the Bank’s KYC requirements and to ensure compliance with Money Laundering regulations at all times.
  • To increase the bank’s portfolio of deposits and loans and to market, build up and increase the foreign exchange business of the department.
  • To preserve customer’ confidentiality at all times, paying particular attention to the security of documentation and communications and to instructions for safe guarding information and not disclosing any information about customers to a third party without the customer’s written approval, or otherwise in compliance with legal/statutory requirements.
  • To ensure that customers’ complaints and problems are solved promptly and satisfactorily and to submit to Senior Management reports regarding any problems as well as keeping him well informed of all developments and the relationship between the client and the Bank.
  • To prepare the necessary information for the preparation of the Division’s Business Plan and Marketing strategy.
  • To prepare regular and special reports to departmental management in the required format, and in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To follow up with approved solicitors and surveyors on matters related to customer transactions requested through the bank.
  • Preparation and submission of credit applications for approval at the appropriate sanctioning level.
  • Supervise post-sanction facility implementation process to include, if required, obtaining relevant documentation, due diligence, account opening and facility draw-down procedures.
  • Upon customer’s request and after being granted the necessary authority, to act on their behalf in moving their funds and portfolios from one foreign bank to another and assisting them as much as possible with banking problems should any arise.
  • To ensure the Bank’s position is protected in terms of Credit, Compliance and legal issues.

Qualification & Experience

  • University degree in Accounting/Economics/Business Admin

  • At least 5 years experience in Banking/Investments/Real Estate Financing.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of financial markets
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Bank products, systems and services, and procedures

  • Good communications, presentation and interpersonal skills
