We are working with an exciting Fintech brand who are startup firm with steady and progressive growth. This Islamic Fintech has made a large digital footprint in the community, especially over the Ramadan period and are in a strong position to grow.
You will be responsible for helping ensure we comply with our legal and regulatory responsibilities as we grow, as well as comply with our ethical policies, which are at the heart of the firm’s mission. A key part of your role will be to further develop our culture of proactive compliance across the business, guiding and informing the whole team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading on and owning our compliance strategy, framework and monitoring programme
- Instilling a positive, proactive culture towards regulation and legislation across the company
- Overseeing policies, procedures and training across the full-range of compliance areas, including, credit, payments, consumer duty, conflicts of interest, conduct risk, anti-bribery, data protection and our ethical policies
- Keeping abreast of regulatory requirements and changes, and putting in place any necessary changes to our policies or procedures
- Coordinating our regulatory and partner compliance reporting
- Own, deliver and administer required compliance training to staff
- Undertake other tasks as and when reasonably required

Requirements
- Experience managing and implementing compliance frameworks and monitoring at an electronic money institutions (EMIs), home finance provider and/or consumer credit provider
- Strong understanding of the regulatory requirements that apply to EMI, home finance providers and/or consumer credit providers
- Strong change and project management skills, including the ability to plan and monitor projects, manage time well, prioritise effectively and handle multiple deadlines
- Very high level of organisation to ensure all activities are thoroughly tracked, monitored and reported on, including the coordination of others with this
- Excellent writing and presentation skills, and in particular to communicate effectively regarding regulatory requirements and compliance internally and externally
- Strong stakeholder management and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams across the business
- Experience of product development from a compliance perspective
- 5 years within a financial services compliance function
