We are working with a prestigious commodities firm specialising in precious metals who are seeking a 2nd in command to the Head of Compliance and MLRO.
As a Compliance Administrator, you will provide support and ensure regulatory compliance across the organisation and for clients, suppliers and partners.
As their compliance function is in the early stages of development, you will be:
Responsibilities:
- Conduct client onboarding procedures, utilising KYC (Know Your Customer), OSINT (Open-Source Intelligence), and due diligence processes on a diverse range of clients, including HNW and UHNW private individuals, retail jewellers, bullion traders, corporations, financial institutions, and global mining companies.
- Manage the Compliance inbox, maintaining meticulous records of documentation and decisions to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Compliance and the team to provide administrative support for various initiatives:
- Assist in developing and implementing a new risk reporting framework.
- Facilitate staff training on AML (Anti-Money Laundering) procedures and other regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to projects involving global mining companies.
- Assist in streamlining internal processes and procedures.
- Provide general administrative support for strategic projects.
Experiences and Qualifications:
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably with a legal or compliance qualification.
- Strong administrative skills to maintain organized and efficient processes.
- Knowledge of client onboarding processes, including familiarity with KYC and due diligence procedures
- Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, to effectively convey compliance-related information.
- Expertise in utilizing Microsoft 365 suite and apps, along with verification tools.
