The firm is making a deliberate investment into its EMEA operations, with London positioned as a strategic hub for growth. This hire sits at the centre of that expansion and offers rare exposure to building a futures operations capability from the ground up. This newly created role supports the brands rapidly expanding Exchange Traded Derivatives business in EMEA.
The Role
Working directly with the Head of Futures Operations, you will act as a key right-hand partner, helping to design, implement, and run the day-to-day operational infrastructure for exchange-traded futures and derivatives, with a strong focus on LME and ICE European markets. This is a hands-on role with real ownership, suited to someone who thrives in a build-out environment and wants to influence how a growing futures business operates from day one.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and manage daily futures and derivatives operations and trade support
- Oversee clearing deadlines and ensure accurate, timely processing of trades
- Execute settlements across cash-settled and physically delivered contracts, including LME prompt dates, physical delivery notices, and option exercise/assignment.
- Perform daily reconciliations of trades, positions, margins, and cash, resolving breaks efficiently.
- Maintain strong operational controls, records, and compliance with exchange, clearing house, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce operational and settlement reporting for internal stakeholders and regulators
- Liaise closely with clearing houses, brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth transaction flow.
- Support strategic initiatives including systems implementation, process automation, and onboarding of new markets.
About You
- Proven futures operations experience covering clearing, settlement, reconciliations, margining, and physical delivery
- Strong working knowledge of LME and ICE Europe processes (LME physical delivery experience highly valued)
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, growth-stage environment
- Detail-oriented, resilient, and commercially minded
- Suitable for Manager or strong Senior Analyst level, depending on experience
- You must be a degree / Bachelors holder
