The purpose of the role is to support the accounts payable function. This role ideally needs someone who has a good telephone manner and enjoys working under pressure. They must be a calm, professional and effective communicator, with the ability to maintain accurate records and work to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts payable function
  • Creation of new suppliers / expenses of staff
  •  Matching invoices against delivery notes
  • Coding and processing supplier invoices
  •  Coding and Process staff expenses
  • Coding and processing credit card expenses
  • File invoices in appropriate folder ready for authorisation
  • Managing company petty cash
  • Preparation of cheque run twice a month (mid-month and month-end
  • Perform monthly reconciliation of all Bank accounts
  • Update receipts on debtor's accounts
  • Deal with all supplier queries in a polite, effective and efficient manner
  • Reconcile supplier statements
  • Maintenance of spreadsheets for expenses and benefit in kind
  • General filing of all accounting paperwork
  • Provide administration support to the finance department

What you'll need: (Skills required)

  • At least 2 years' experience within an Accounts department
  • Good knowledge of accounts payable functions
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative or as a part of a team
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge in accounting software, MS word and Excel (intermediate level)
