Global Oil trading major are growing their London office and keen to speak with ARABIC (+French) speakers from a physical commodity background ( "Wet" storage, shipping, pipeline, cargo, freight, logistics, demurrage, refinery). The role is West End based
Ideal candidates with have enthusiasm, add value and go the extra mile to become a successful part of this growing and exciting European HQ expansion. The role will see you gain excellent exposure to most Oil products (jet, diesel, gasoline) for a newly established, commercial team with lots of drive and determination. Potential prospects are unlimited. The role will see you working in the Business Development & Strategy Planning department, with a reporting line into Shipping and Logistics also. Strong academics a major advantage.
Duties will include
- Generating new business in line with annual marketing and profit targets, and working according to agreed sales strategy & sales process
- Keeping up-to-date about company products and services
- Monitoring market/competitor activities
- Providing detailed information on the progress of sales activity and targets
- Networking with industry professionals and stakeholders
- Communicating with managers, stakeholders and customers
- Coordinating with marketing departments and teams
- Creating, reviewing and distributing relevant product documentation
- Arranging and attending meetings with potential clients and preparing and presenting as required
- Composing budgets, papers or reportsTravelling to client locations
Education
- l Ideally a degree in Chemical Engineering/Commercial/Finance or equivalent
Professional Background
- Understanding oil fundamentals, products, grades, qualities, geopolitical and environmental influence on commodity markets
- Proven ability to generate profit through new and existing business relationships
- Ability to build strategic working relationships internally and externally
- Innovative approach to business solutions – think outside the box
- Commercial and financial acumen at a strategic and operational level
- Ability to plan, implement and deliver business goals
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience
- Excellent communication skills – especially with power point presentations
- Multilingual ability in Arabic / French
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills
- Fast learner, highly motivated and with a flexible approach
- Passionate and enthusiastic about the business
- Ability to deliver solutions to complex problems/challenges
