Arabic Speaking Client Services Officer- Prestigious International Bank

Our client is a highly prestigious International Private Bank who is looking for an Arabic speaking Client Services Officer to provide top quality customer service to their high net worth Private Banking clients.

Job Purpose

  • To provide administrative and operational support to Private Banking’s Relationship team.

  • To deliver a high quality, professional service in person, on the telephone and all other communication mediums to the bank's high net worth Private Banking clients.

  • To oversee a portfolio of clients, with responsibility for the general administration of these accounts.

Principle Accountabilities & Duties

  • Prepare client payment instructions (swift/chaps transfers), carrying out all necessary checks and obtaining required authorisations before submission to Operations department.

  • Be the owner of a portfolio of clients, undertake the regular KYC Reviews with responsibility for the general administration of these accounts.

  • Provide cash office cover for the main cashier and to therefore be familiar with all requirements of that role.

  • Pass accounting entries relating to client internal transfers and Bank fees.

  • Handle general account/banking queries by telephone/in person/fax/post/e-mail.

  • Administer requests from clients to amend static data, authenticate requests and amend Bank systems as necessary.

  • Process new visa card applications, handle client card queries and undertake general administration of cards (arranging replacement cards/PINsetc).

  • Arrange for the printing of client cheque and credit books.

  • Arrange and distribute copy statements/vouchers when required by clients or for internal reasons.

  • Receive from relationship team new account applications and amendments to existing accounts, ensure required documentation is present and organised before submission to Compliance.

  • Initiate SWIFT messages relating to instructions received in-branch or drafts issued.

  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulatory, KYC, NOR requirements and Compliance policy and procedures to avoid exposing the Bank to undue risk.

  • Be flexible in support of the whole Private Banking team, making a positive contribution to the delivery of department/Group business objectives and contributing positively to adhoc projects.

  • Achieve and maintain a professional knowledge of Private Banking products and services, keeping up-to-date with related developments, recommending Bank facilities to clients as appropriate.

  • Be pro-active in recommending improvements to Bank processes.

  • Distribute mail received and undertake filing of client documentation in the Bank’s records.

  • Undertake other duties as reasonably required by management.

You must:

  • Speak Arabic at native level.

  • Previous experience in a Branch dealing with customers.

  • Previous experience in initiating and preparing payment instructions (SWIFT/ CHAPS).
