Our client a prestigious banking organisation who are currently seeking a Transaction Monitoring Officer. The role is located in City of London and after the first 3 months will become a hybrid role where you will only be required 3 days in the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and monitor compliance monitoring plans in accordance with approved methodology.
- Conduct compliance reviews and assessments, ensuring adequate sample sizes and thorough analysis of findings.
- Implement escalation processes for identified issues and deficiencies, tracking resolutions effectively.
- Generate Management Information (MI) reports to communicate compliance status and trends.
- Develop and maintain compliance policies, processes, manuals, and AML policies in alignment with regulatory standards.
- Oversee compliance training programs for staff, ensuring annual training requirements are met.
Requirements:
- Must have 2-3 years minimum of general compliance specifically in transaction monitoring experience in UK based banks.
- Must be a degree holder.
- Practical knowledge of regulatory frameworks including FCA/PRA Handbook, SYSC, JMLSG, BCOBS, financial crime, and anti-bribery and corruption (ABC) regulations.
- Working knowledge of various areas such as trade finance, correspondent banking, complaints handling, FATCA, and AML processes.
- Ability to think strategically and translate concepts into effective processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment consistently.
