A prestigious international banking organisation is seeking a Risk Assurance Manager who is responsible for providing Second Line of Defence Oversight and Assurance for financial and non-financial risks through a range of activities as a senior member of the Risk Management Function.
Ensure risk processes are embedded, via a range of mechanisms, into the bank and that risk management becomes a priority component of 'business as usual’ activity
Support the CRO in:
- Maintain the bank’s Enterprise Risk Register management, covering all key risks
- Maintaining Risk Appetite Framework
- Monthly monitoring and reporting on Risk Appetite
- Monitoring activities across Credit, Investment, Country and Liquidity risk families
- Stress testing activity specifically; capital and liquidity planning, credit risk
- Design and implementation of Risk Control Self Assessment including quality assurance and sample testing methodology across all functions
- Identify, collate, assess and report on a range of Key Risk Indicators
- Designing and implementing targeted quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance with risk controls
- Maintain the on-going evolution of a Risk Event Reporting (RER) capability and the Operational Risk Register, which is used to guide the bank in the management of its operational risks and ultimately, managing Operational Risk loss reporting
- Undertake Change Risk Assessments for material changes in processes, controls and new products and services
- Lead work on Data Privacy controls and manage Data Privacy documents and control suite
- Oversight on Access Control, Business Continuity, Operational Resilience, Cyber and Information security, Complaints Handling
- Maintain a strong understanding of existing and planned future strategic intentions to ensure that risk related processes can change and be established in a timely fashion rather than reactively
- Reporting on Risk management activities and risk profile to Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee and other executive committees as required (ExCO, ALCO)
Expertise Required
- Minimum 5 years experience in Enterprise Risk
- Knowledge and experience in key risk families with focus on Credit Risk, Stress Testing, Capital planning, Liquidity risk
- Good understanding of prudential regulation and expectations
- Advanced data analytical skill set including proficiency in Excel
- Technical mindset, proven experience in driving and implementing process improvements
