The Chief Financial Officer is a key member of the executive leadership team and will contribute to the strategic direction of the Bank. Reporting to and working alongside the CEO, the CFO will take a leading role in driving the achievement of this new bank’s ambitious growth plans, as it enters its second phase of evolution - with likely succession planning into a CEO position. The CFO will head the Finance functions, defining, planning and delivering the firms financial plans and reporting to the Board, executive committees and the regulators about the firm’s financial affairs and financial position. The post-holder will have governance oversight for the production and integrity of the firm’s financial information, statutory and regulatory reporting and financial systems and controls. The CFO will lead the production of insightful MI to aid effective decision making at Board and operational level.

Summary of Duties / Responsibilities
- Be appointed as our Finance Lead to effectively steer product pricing, development, and business strategy
- Provide financial leadership, playing instrumental role on ExCo, OpCo, Asset and Liability Committees
- Liaised with equity investor entities, shareholder directors and key finance and regulatory stakeholders
- Be accountable for Bank management and board reporting of P&L, and business and product performance
- Present directors information packs, budgets, forecasts & executive summaries to the senior Board
- Prepare and present the annual budgets and forecasting for the three-year business plan
- Managed the statutory reporting process producing the financial statements including Auditor liaison
- Oversee all taxation processes, HMRC reporting and ensuring compliance with tax obligations
- Assisted CRO with preparing ICAAP, ILAAP, RRP, liquidity, capital, operational and credit risk policies
- Be responsible for monitoring of all financial, capital, liquidity & market risk metrics
- Take ownership for all PRA and Bank of England regulatory reporting returns, including Corep and Finrep
- Execute low volume Treasury transactions with counterparties, to manage credit drawdowns and liquidity
- Supervise the finance operations, procurement, accounts payable, payroll and reconciliations
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- Chartered Accountant / ACMA / FCCA / ACA / ACCA / CGMA
- You have held a CFO or Finance Director position
- You speak fluent Bengali
- Significant experience at senior level, chairing committees and defining strategy
- Primary oversight of statutory and regulatory reporting and knowledge of IFRS
- Proficient at implementing strong risk management and governance of financial systems, controls and processes ideally in an early stage institution
- Can demonstrate experience of leading finance functions through development and growth phases
- Relishes the dual challenges of operating at both strategic and operational levels
